Clive Cussler is a great author, i read his books all the time, W. H. SMITHS. or any good book shop will stock him. High adventure, action and mystery is what he writes about

'Bout time one of the book threads was revived :D

Did buy 3 books from the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett as I read Thief of Time a few years back and really enjoyed it. Haven't actually got round to reading them yet.
Also am still to read the last book in the Conclave of Shadows series by Raymond E Feist. I recommend all his books starting with Magician. There must be near on 20 since that first one now :stars:

Ghost - any particular book by this Clive Cussier? I've not heard his name before.

Clive Cussler. I recognise the name. Was the movie Sahara based on one of his books? (Good movie btw for adventure fans in an Indiano Jones style).

Hello Landers my boy. I was reading through some of the old posts on this thread as yet again I need another book and there's plenty of superb ideas here and remembered that your better and prettier half was reading The Historian at the start of the thread. I was just wondering what she thought of it? I thought it was great until it was spoiled by the ridiculous ending which for me made the whole book seem quite pointless. Shame

Hey JB! :) Good to see you around PSL way again!

She thought the same. Good book, somewhat ruined by the crap ending. I also gave it to someone at work who said exactly the same thing! I haven't read it myself. No time for reading books these days. :(

I'm just finishing re-reading Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson. Quite enjoying it as it's been 10 years since I read it. Great stuff. Sony released it for free download for their eBook Library app. I have downloaded the other two (Blue Mars and Green Mars) ready to go.

I have also got the fourth Old Man's War book by John Scalzi, Zoe's Tale. He is a fantastic author.
