On my way to bed last night I noticed that the sky had cleared and the moon was out. Went outside for about 10 minutes before the next clouds came rolling through. Seen one really good one.

The moon was really bright here, could barely see stars!

Yeah it was expected and similar to here. I was able to walk around the house to block the moonlight a little so I was only looking at one part of the sky. You don't get to see lots of little ones but the ones you do see should be really good. Going to try again tonight but the forecast is poor :628:

Another year has rolled around already and it's time for the sky to put on a show. This week coincides with the new moon, which will mean that the sky is darker.

Weather is looking good for me tonight

I'm in the middle of the lake district currently, some clear sky forecast tonight, clear all night tomorrow. I've made a big thing of it with the kids and we have hot chocolate plus every night sky related confectionary we could find lol

Wow! How good was that? :D Cosmic fireworks. :magic:

Beautiful dark clear night with dozens of really big meteors. Totally mind blowing when you think about what they are. Sat out for ages with my daughter but no mars bars, milky ways, galaxys, star bars, etc. Hope you guys had a great show in the Lake District.
